The series was made during Zarina’s artist residency associated with the Pacific States National Biennial Print Exhibition. The family archive preserves a title sheet, the etched sequence, and a colophon photographed together as a numbered impression.

The prints use the economy of etching to hold movement, horizon, and the uncertainty of arrival. The final sheet, Edge of Land, gives the journey its destination without turning it into a fixed home.

The family scans reproduced here are numbered 8/20. Other documented copies have different impression numbers; they are evidence for the edition, not additional works in this sequence.

The etched sequence is ordered I–V, then Edge of Land. The family scan file numbers differ from the sheet sequence; the title and colophon are documented separately.
